That meant developers had to work virtually nonstop to ensure the company could eventually release a new sequel every year. To capitalize on the game’s success, Ubisoft decided to annualize the series.
Assassin’s Creed 2 was just released to rave reviews and amazing sales. That’s a lot of Assassin’s Creed, but the more the merrier, right? Well, to be honest, that’s exactly the sort of thinking that almost doomed the franchise prior to 2017. From there, the franchise’s roadmap stretched out to include major projects such as Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe and Assassin’s Creed Infinity. If that wasn’t enough, Ubisoft will finally let players control a ninja in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Codename Red. Furthermore, mobile gamers will be able to create their own assassin in the China-themed Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade.
Ubisoft also revealed that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players will receive one final bit of story DLC for free.
But that wasn’t the studio’s only big Assassin’s Creed announcement.
